Dear Neighbor,
We write to express our support for William Tinkler’s candidacy to represent District 9 on Charleston City Council.
We love our community, and we recognize that our community is going through a period of unprecedented change. Over the last decade, the effects of population growth have challenged Charleston’s aging infrastructure. But we are also very optimistic about the future: we see young families moving to District 9 for its convenience and affordability. We need a representative who can bring more than just creative solutions to Charleston’s problems. We need one who understands the specific needs of our corner of West Ashley, which is regularly overlooked by City Hall, and can seize upon the emerging opportunities presented to us.
We believe William Tinkler is that representative. He’s lived in West Ashley his whole life, he works here as an attorney, and he’s raising his family here. He has skin in the game.
He’s listened to us, and he’s convinced us that he will build the necessary relationships with community leaders and advocate for policies and projects at City Hall that represent West Ashley’s unique character.
Please check out his website, www.williamtinkler.com, for additional information about why he is running and how he will represent all of us on City Council. We look forward to seeing you at the polls for the Runoff on November 21st.
